TEAM NEWS

City: Tuesday evening should prove to be too soon for Harry Pritchard and Lee Novak to return. The pair are still nursing injuries but are not expected to be long-term absentees.

Danny Rowe played the full 90 minutes against Cambridge United last time out and is likely to feature again. Niall Canavan, Rumarn Burrell and Matthew Foulds could make their City debuts.

Paudie O’Connor is set to captain the side again, having taken the armband against the U’s on Saturday afternoon.

Southend: Former Bantam Timothee Dieng will not feature against his former side, having picked up a suspension over the weekend.

The Shrimpers will also be without dangerous Arsenal loanee James Olayinka, who is sidelined with injury.

LAST TIME OUT

Three first-half goals were enough to see the Bantams clinch all three points against Southend United - at the Utilita Energy Stadium - in November.
