WRIGHT BUZZING WITH BANTAMS PERFORMANCE

Tyreik Wright was "buzzing" with City's performance following yesterday's 3-0 win at Accrington Stanley.

Wright bagged a brace to get City’s afternoon underway, before Andy Cook’s strike solidified the Bantams' victory.

“Buzzing, really happy with the performance,” he said.

“It was a better and much-improved performance from Tuesday. We did not meet the high standards we set for ourselves.

“We came here to play on the front foot, press high and go from minute one, and we did just that.”

Wright, who scored his first Bantams brace, admitted it was a massive confidence boost, as he got his scoring account back up and running in his second stint with City.

The 22-year-old wants City to take this game and build upon it going into three-consecutive games at the University of Bradford Stadium, starting with the visit of Forrest Green Rovers on Tuesday.

“It was a massive confidence boost scoring a brace today,” Wright added.

“I have not scored in over a year, so was happy to break that duck.

“I just got my head down, I kept working hard and it all paid off. I am very happy.

“I am looking forward to play at home again.

“It is always great to play at home in front of the home fans. I love playing in front of them.

“We will go into the game with the momentum built from today, and hope to come away with three points to continue to move us up the table.”
