Job Title:

Academy Performance Analyst Volunteer

Reports Into:

Head of Performance Analysis

Key Relationships:

Head of Performance Analysis, Head of Coaching, Head of Player Care and Psychology, Professional Development Phase Lead, Academy Administrator.

Purpose:

Bradford City AFC. is looking for a volunteer to support the full-time Performance Analysis staff in the delivery of our performance strategy. This voluntary position provides a great opportunity to learn from experienced members of staff, whilst developing professional skills.

The successful candidate will be expected to support the Academy Performance Analysis department with the following responsibilities:

·       Filming of both games and training sessions using industry specific equipment

·       Pre, Post & Live Analysis for both games & training

·       The delivery of analysis sessions

·       Uploading of footage to Online Sharing Platform

·       Providing staff with a concise set of clips in line with the identified tactical and technical outcomes

·       Producing individual clips of each players involvement during games.

Key Tasks:

●      Supervise and support athletes during strength training, conditioning sessions, and warm-ups.

●      Monitor players' progress and provide feedback on their performance and technique.

●      Collaborate with coaching staff to design injury prevention exercises and strategies.

●      Assist in tracking and recording training data to evaluate players' development and adjust programs accordingly.

●      Respect that all information regarding players and parents remains strictly confidential.

●      Adhere to and comply with the staff Code of Conduct, Child Protection and Equal Opportunities Policies set out by the Academy.

Requirements:

 

 

·       The successful candidate will be either someone who is looking to complete a 1-year placement as part of a sandwich year or someone doing a relevant master’s degree within performance analysis looking for a full-time placement to go alongside their studies.

·       An understanding of the game of football.

·       An understanding of the use of performance analysis within football.

·       High level of computer competency and video editing skills.

·       Competent in using various analysis equipment and software.

·       Manner appropriate to working in a professional environment and with children of all ages.

·       Proactive and driven to succeed.

Location: Woodhouse Grove School, Apperley Bridge, Bradford, BD10 0NR.

Duration: This voluntary opportunity will run from July 2024 – May 2025.

Salary: Voluntary.

Volunteer hours: Up to 40 hours per week, adjusted to suit the needs of the club and the individual.

Purpose:

Bradford City AFC. is looking for a volunteer to support the full-time Sports Science and Medicine staff in the delivery of our performance strategy. This voluntary position provides a great opportunity to learn from experienced members of staff, whilst developing professional skills.

The volunteer will assist in the smooth running of the daily Sports Science tasks to include, but not restricted to; Data collection and analysis, data storage and reporting, assistance during pitch- and gym-based training sessions, and nutritional support. This exciting opportunity will enable the volunteer to work at a professional football club, as part of a progressive multi-disciplinary team.

Key Tasks:

·       Passion for strength and conditioning, fitness, and youth athlete development.

·       Knowledge of strength training principles and exercise techniques.

·       Enthusiasm to work with young athletes and support their growth both on and off the field.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Flexibility to work during training sessions and events.

Purpose:

Bradford City AFC. is looking for a volunteer to support the delivery of the player care and psychology strategy for the 2024/25 season. This voluntary position provides a great opportunity to learn from experienced members of staff, whilst developing professional skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the holistic development and well-being of all academy players.

Key Tasks:

●      Assist with the player and parent inductions, providing each player with an age appropriate and standardised induction process.

●      Assist with the exit strategy process, supporting parents and players as they exit the academy program.

●      Contribute towards the planning and delivery of the life skills program across all academy age groups.

●      Contribute towards the planning and delivery of psychology workshops both for players and staff.

●      Support the Head of Player Care in gathering, analysing, and addressing player and parent feedback.

●      Respect that all information regarding players and parents remains strictly confidential.

●      Adhere to and comply with the staff Code of Conduct, Child Protection and Equal Opportunities Policies set out by the Academy.
