BRADFORD CITY AFC

An experienced frontman, Derbyshire arrived at the University of Bradford Stadium until the summer of 2024 in January, after leaving Indian Super League side NorthEast United.

Born in 1986, Derbyshire began his professional career at Blackburn Rovers, where he helped Rovers achieve a sixth-placed Premier League finish, as well as reaching the semi-finals of both English domestic trophies.

Further moves in England followed for the forward, as he spearheaded the Nottingham Forest, Birmingham City and Rotherham United frontlines.

He also has experience elsewhere in Europe, most notably in Greece with Olympiakos, where he netted 11 times in 21 games. 

Before making the move to BD8, Matt spent 2022 in India with NorthEast United scoring once in eight outings.
