COME AND SUPPORT US ON MARCH OF THE DAY!

21 March 2024

Supporters are invited to the University of Bradford Stadium on the morning of Friday March 22, as club staff and representatives set off on ‘March of the Day’.

Departing the stadium at around 9.00am, the challenge will see over 600 people trek 175 miles from Valley Parade to Anfield, over the course of three days, in order to raise money for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

Organised by Redwood Events and dedicated to City legend Stephen Darby and former Huddersfield Town forward Marcus Stewart, both of whom currently live with motor neurone disease, the continuous walk will cross the finish line at Liverpool FC on Sunday March 24, having stopped off at 17 other football stadia en route.

And you are invited to show your support for those taking on the challenge by heading to Valley Parade next Friday morning and cheering on from The Morrisons Family Stand as walkers begin the trek.

The University of Bradford Stadium will be open from 7.30am to 9.30am on Friday March 22, with supporters invited to enter through the WD Media Gate on Valley Parade (opposite the Bradford City Community Foundation’s City Hub).

Kiosks inside The Morrisons Family Stand concourse will be open, serving breakfast and drinks, as a host of former Bantams including Filipe Morais, James Hanson and Billy Clarke, and current members of the coaching staff including manager Graham Alexander, assistant Chris Lucketti and goalkeeper coach Colin Doyle get ready to go.

Supporters can also pay a minimum £15 donation to display a good luck message on the electronic scoreboard at Valley Parade, 100% of which will be sent into the club’s JustGiving pot, aiming to raise £10,000 for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation as part of a wider fundraising goal of £100,000. To arrange for your message to be displayed on the scoreboard, please email hello@bradfordcityafc.com.

Members of the local and national media will be present, with supporters asked to please donate what they can to help us raise as much money as possible for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.
